MOVEMBER

I'm very honoured to have been chosen as one of ten artists to be drawing live portraits at the official Movember launch party in central London on the 17th October.  Being one of the 'Gallery of Mo' official artists has meant getting some practice in on drawing a good mo before the event - although I have a feeling the mo's may be getting a little more magnificent on the night...

Make a donation to Movember here and get yourself some mo action!

Flaxon Ptootch private view - 12th July

Kentish town private view went down a treat for those who visited - art, free cocktails and a couple of very peculiar performances.. nothing an artist likes more!! We are exhibiting in the space until the 7th of August so if you didn't get the chance to pop by on Thursday, theres still time!

Paper Jukebox - Bath TIME exhibition

So our 'Time' exhibition at Fringe Arts Bath Festival seemed to go down pretty well... My blogging of this event has been horrendous, so here is a link to a decent one!  Shown above is what I exhibited. The series of images shows the rather perplexing concept of 'Entropy' but with a slightly more comprehendible and summery twist..

Entropy: The inevitable and steady deterioration of a system or society.

Dirty White Everything

Dirty White Everything

The worst thing you ever did
was to make me feel self conscious
about the scar on my left arm.
As if someone had told me
my favourite clothes
didn’t suit me.
Or my over rehearsed dinner party anecdote
wasn’t funny.
I can only imagine you now
covered in blood,
looking like you fell out of purgatory.
Dirty white everything,
dull as prescription drugs.
They tell me I fall in love too easily.
Sharing beds with conveyor-belt idiots,
breathing like two junkies
into each other.
But I have held him sober,
and seem to be the only one who knows,
man never really set foot on the moon
unless he took off his boot
and felt it between his toes.

(Dirty White Everything unashamedly throws the situation of moving from one relationship quickly onto the next into a bright light and supports a 'no regrets' attitude to falling in love too easily.)

Florence and the machine's secret 7"

I'm taking part in a competition to have my artwork made into a 7" vinyl for one of Florence and the machine's (one of my faaaave musicians) singles. If I get through to the final 45, the 7" vinyl that I designed will be exhibited in London and sold at a charity auction raising money for the teenage cancer trust. I will also receive a signed copy for myself! Too good to be true.... I even did my final degree work on her, so this would, as cliche as it sounds, be a dream come true!!

So please pleeeease help me raise money for this great cause by voting for my artwork.
